Vamp...

I always love daring make up (I'm doing my best to be brave and where most of it...) At the moment I am crushing on this dark purple/burgundy colour. I think it is legendary and I am quite tempted to purchase some... Before Christmas I made friends with some bright red lipstick and now I think I'm ready to move onto something a bit more exotic. I used to be terribly afraid of lipstick and I have always hated lipgloss (far too sticky) but now I simply adore lipstick, even if I only own one. But I will buy more and this colour is on my lipstick wish list along with a nice coral (my friend has one: tis to die for!)

Be sure to where flowers in your hair...

I'm getting very very tired of the winter so to combat this I donned and flower in my hair today to let me feel fresh and summery... I grow weary of scarves and tights, of layers and covering my skin. But this winter refuses to end, sending us even more snow and I dream of warmth and sun and the freedom to bare my legs and arms and wear light cotton and floaty chiffon if I so choose with pomps and sandals. I wear this flower to make mother nature hurry on and give us the spring and summer we long for... After that rant, I love this corsage by the way. Got it in Awear best fiver I ever spent!

On my tippy toes...

Now I was never a fan of ballet.... But these ballet flats are so dotey I'd stand on my head to get them let alone my toes! Luckily it did not have to come to that thanks to my student discount... And they are adding to my new love of all things light and nudey. I've a strong feeling these are gonna be worn a lot. The tights are from they student lifesaver that is Penneys (which have been worn a lot this winter... I don't care if lace isn't a good insulator!)

The Old School Charm...

I named this post after the shoes I was wearing today... My boyfriend calls them my school shoes (he has a point but I still love them!) I was very happy with my outfit today... I just loved the tights I was wearing today, I've such a thing for flesh toned fishnets... I always feel so chic when I wear them because they aren't very common from wear I come from. The skirt is a staple piece in my wardrobe at this stage, I wear it all year round and goes with so much... Had a bit of a lazy day today, no class really, a doctor's appointment and vegging out with the boy (but that is no excuse not to look good he he...)

Lazy days...

Ok I will admit there are days when I've to get up early for college and don't have loads of time to pretty myself up but I ain't a hoody and tracksuit kinda girl as you know, so I'd love to have some neutral coloured long knit jumper to throw on with some jeggings and flats and of course a little cute hair accessory and a skinny belt (I can't help myself...) I saw this one by Whistles which is loverly... Wouldn't have the money for it so I'm gonna have an auld look in some second hand shops for maybe some men jumpers...

Birthday Outfit... Athlone

This is a much quirkier outfit than the last one, full of fun and colour... This dress is one of my favourites. Not only is it flattering but it is one that is easy and comfortable to wear. The colours are punchy and the bow is so dotey... These shoes were bought with my first wage packet last year (I know I started late...) My make up and hair were messy yet glam which I love... Sad news about my bag, the handle broke during the night, I was very upset... I had a great night out with my college buddies! Bring on many more!

Wallpaper Pattern...

Our most recent project in college was called "Self Promotion" where we had to create a graphic to describe ourselves. I wanted to show people that I have a love of vintage and that I'm eccentric... So I decided to create a wallpaper pattern based on the style of William Morris. Instead of using nature and birds and so on, as Morris did, I used random stuff like umbrellas and ice-cream cones to add the quirkiness to the piece. I'd love to know what you think of my design.

A touch of the old fashioned chic...

I found this bag in a charity shop in Athlone yesterday and I fell in love with it...I love this style of bag and I saw a Chloe one like this and I've been lusting after one ever since...And now I've my own for the whopping price of €4! All I need now is the pill box hat. It is so amazing what you can find in charity shops... People should give them more of a chance in my opinion.

Cuteness in a headband...

Bought this yesterday in Penneys for a €1.50! I think it is so cute and such an easy peasy way to make bed hair after a night out look intentional (which is always a plus he he!) I just thought I show you guys... What do you think????? Hmmmmm? :)

Birthday Outfit... Carlow

Ok so I went out on the town last Saturday with my Carlow buddies and our fellas for my birthday and I decided to go all glam and nude but yet seemingly effortless looking... I think I did quite well... I stuck to golds and creams and I layered my jewellery and mix it up to add a funky shabby chic twist to the outfit... I'll be heading out tomorrow with my college buddies and my outfit then is quite different... Stay tuned.

Birthday shoes...

It's my birthday on Tuesday and since I'll be at college I got my gifts early. One of my gifts was this gorgeous pair of shoes. They are made by Harlot and are so beautiful from the little pom poms to the wooden heel. Unfortunately the back strap keeps sliding loose but that's nothing a little sewing won't fix. I also love the colour, it's not pink, not purple and not beige... Actually it looks like the colour of baileys :) Let me know what you think...

Bargain...

I bought this chain mail necklace last week in Topshop... Twas a bargain indeed at €1! Yes that's right it was that much. So obviously I just had to get it. I think its so glam grungy chic! The locket was a gift from my boyfriend, I wear it all the time, it really means so much to me. I really love layering jewellery but I so rarely do it which is a shame. I plan on doing more often.

Watercolour with lace on the side...

Tis a boring Saturday afternoon so I thought to put up my outfit on my blog... Tis a tad quirky I will admit... Never before thought to put black lace with a satin watercolour print skirt. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it works quite well. If I were going out somewhere fancy I'd but my yellow t-bars with them, but for doing some college work on a Saturday I feel the the recently bought cream jazzy flats will do just fine... :) I put these teeny green earrings with them, I love them and think the look very sophisticated.

Be on the look out please...

Right, I've been searching for a black, a-line, high waisted skirt that is made from some lovely fabric like chiffon or a heavy silk. I've had no luck at the moment so please help... I've done this sketch to show what I'm looking for and if you see something like this just let me know. Otherwise I'll just half to drag out the auld sewing machine... Plus ain't got a whole lotta cash since I'm a student. Hope you can help...

Cheap as chips...

I bought these jazzy flats in Penneys today... I've been wanting some cream flats for awhile and I think I will be able to wear these now as well as in the summer which is always a huge bonus. They were eleven euros so they didn't break the bank and I didn't feel like I splurged... I love brogues and jazzy flats, a chic alternate to pomps or trainers (grrr trainers!) Let me know what you think.
