A night of beauty...
Just found these on Knightcat, wanted to share them... Love them! Chic, playful, sexy and grown up (a little bit). Feel silly having such a small post so just stare at these pictures for awhile and tell me you are so glad I showed them to you!
Thanks!
Graphic Monday
Another Monday and another Graphic Monday. I have magazines spreads due on Wednesday so I decided to put up a few spreads from a magazine called Everyday up for you to feast upon. It is a magazine that deals with graphic designers and other creatives focusing on the people behind the work rather the work itself.
Wish mine looked this cool.

Party Dress... Sorted!
I have many 21st Birthdays in the next three months (including my own and my boyfriends), my dads 50th and obviously some partying for Christmas and New Year. So I wanted to get a dress that I could wear loads of different ways to all these occasions.
And this is it! Bought off Vivien of Holloway and cost me a bundle (€114!) but will be worth it I am sure... I have been wanting a dress like this for years and I have an under skirt to go with it so I'm gonna look smashing!
Can't wait til it arrives!

Matt Stevens of Creative Directions + Design was working with a group of designers to create apparel designs to support the relief and mercy efforts of The Salvation Army.
Here is his contribution... What do you think?

Hi curtain, I love you...
Being cooped up in your bedroom all day doing work can be dull (well half the day). To remedy this I decided to a photo shoot. An odd one. I don't know what I was thinking when I was doing these poses but hey they're different (which is always good... isn't it?)
Again I was striving for that "I'm too cool to care" look (why am I so obsessed with this look?!?!) Thought I could achieve it with a knitted body con dress, mens converse and opaque tights. Tis a comfy outfit, always a plus and I felt cool (especially listening to Glee!) which is the main thing.
I think I like this look because it is the extreme of the other look I love which is the "done to perfection" look. You know the one, hair and make up are done and well kept, everything is fitted and you feel so proper and special. Just think Mad Men.

Tights: Penneys
Converse: Office (I think)

Elegance...
Was wandering through the Sartorialist this evening I found this image. And... I... Well I just love this outfit! It is so long and elegant and simple until you get to those sleeves! Art work in themselves! Monotone which is always a plus for me and the sleekness of it...
In short... I love...
The End.

I love all three but the last one is my favourite, has a spooky/indian vibe about it!

Another want, another need...
I wanna do some screen prints in these bad boys! Wear these in college, they are too cool to wear out.
Seriously want to wear more heels to college and these would do just fine...
Topshop send me these, please and thank you.
My little pony...
I have actually never been on a horse... Believe it or believe it not. A donkey, yes but never a horse.
Anyway I felt todays ensemble was very equestrian. I think it's mainly the boots and my little horse belt buckle.... and possibly the navy. I do love this dress, a nice wool blend thats cosy but still form fitting. I have been living in these boots, but sure why wouldn't you? They are amazing! I also am loving the belt, there is something very kitsch about it... Heck I love this whole outfit!
It was bloody freezing out when I shot these (thankfully it did not take too long). And I tried to take some jumping shots (most just look weird- like I'm that weird aunt that dances like she is still in the sixties). But I got one of me up in the air... An action shot!
Apologies for the snooty expression in the last shot... Maybe deep down I'm just a big snob.
Dress: Monsoon
Belt: Awear (came with a dress)
Boots: Office

Can also be worn as a hat...
I like fur... I think I would feel bad owning real fur but it does feel loverly! I have my fair share of faux fur and I think I want a bit more...
Yes, I want a fur hat... But not one with those silly flaps! I do hate those. I imagine just wearing one with an average outfit would lift up my "chicness level" ( I am always trying to find easy and quick ways to be chic-pearls and a gown cannot be worn in my class room!)
Also they are so very Russian especially with very dark red lippy (Bordeaux-Rimmel, my favourite.) And who doesn't wanna look Russian?
I even know which one I want. This one.
It is from Topshop. Was in there one day with my friend. Loving it but thinking it would look silly on me I tried it on and asked if it suited me. At that moment a woman leaving the shop looked at me and said,
"You know what? It actually does!"
I had to go look for myself and I loved it! It was warm and cosy, soft, chic and yet still fun. I decided then that I would get it when I could. And I will!

Wooly wooly wooly...
I need to purchase some more jumpers. I have a grand total of one. One! Ain't that ridiculous!? I mean I have jumper dresses and cardigans and stuff but only one jumper. Imagine!
I would like all of the above. Don't you think that they would be so chic and stylish with some skinnies or leggings. And with no effort what so ever (perfect when I am dragging myself out of the bed in the morning and walking in the rain to college).
All from Topshop...

Beautifully off...
From German Vogue. I found it on Knightcat (where does she find these images???) and I just think it is such a gorgeous image. There is a sort of juxtaposition about this image that interests me... Could be that she's bare foot in Louis Vuitton, they are all dolled up and in an old recording studio with 70's carpet. Or maybe its just her tiny tattoo with that full skirt...
I dunno...
I just like it!

These posters are by a designer called Aron Jancso. Just found him today... Self described type addict from Budapest. He seems to be a seriously talented typographer who likes to build his letters from scratch (so cool!) and his style is a blend of modernism, street culture and calligraphy yet is very experimental.
Glad I found him.
